It has been a much quieter week at the Bowling Club. There were 18 players involved on Thursday afternoon in very pleasant conditions. The vouchers for the day went to the triples team of Allan Langford, Tony Oyston and Glen Benson who won their game by 11 shots.

The other winning teams and their margins were Chris Wright and Ted Loader who won their game by 7 shots, Terry Cannon and Cliff Traynor with a margin of 4 shots and Albert Carter and Joe Bargwanna who had a margin of 1 shot.

The conditions on Saturday were fine and quite cool.

There were 20 players taking part.

The highest winning margin for the day was 20 shots for Chris Wright and Peter Watts and this gave them the vouchers.

Other winning teams and their scores were Tony Oyston and Vic Brown 20–17, Greg Woods and Col Chapman 26–15, Steve Walsh and Jono Watson 20–12 and Tom Preston and Graeme Edgerton 26–19.

It is pleasing to see that entries are coming in for the Men’s Minor Singles, Men’s Minor Pairs and the Mixed Pairs.

The entries for the Men’s events close on Saturday 25th and entries for the Mixed Pairs close on Sunday 2nd June.

The Men’s Pairs tournament that was advertised for Saturday 25th May and Sunday 26th May has been cancelled due to insufficient entries.

A final reminder about nominations for the sub–committees of the new Riverina–Murray Region with Expressions of Interest closing on 31st May.

The Women’s Division 3 Pennant side have been playing in the State Finals at Ballina during the week and their results will be in next week’s edition.
