The final round of sectional Pennant games for Group E took place on Sunday.

For the fourth week in a row all three Young sides recorded strong wins. The Grade 4 side were at home to Cootamundra Ex–Services and won on two rinks for an overall score of 72 to 54.

In the individual games (skips names only) David Quigley defeated Brad Lang 25–13, Damien Miller defeated Adam New 32-9 and Peter Watts lost to Mike Barber 15–32.

The Grade 6 side also played Cootamundra Ex–Services at Young and took all 10 points in a 98–34 win. Martin Betcher defeated Wayne Ford 22–13, Kate Cooper defeated Mark Devere 34–15 and Tony Ruhl defeated Steve Stanton 42–6.

In Grade 5 Young travelled to Harden and scored 9 points with a 66–42 overall score. Denis Rosen lost to Gerard Davis 16–18, Glen Benson defeated Phil Bowerman 29–14 and Geoff DeBritt defeated John Curtis 21–10.

The Grade 4 side has qualified to play in the Zone 8 Finals in May while the Grade 5 side finished second in their section. In the Multi-Grade 6/7 section Young were the top side in Grade 6 but because they finished with fewer points than Boorowa Ex–Services Grade 7 side they do not qualify for the Zone 8 Finals.
