Head down to Ross Memorial Uniting Church this Sunday to hear the Hilltops Choir join forces with organist David Powell.

The concert is a fundraiser for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (south eastern section of NSW) with all donations at the door going straight to supporting them.

The concert is part of the Hilltops Off The Beaten Track Arts and Cultural Trail, showcasing the creativity of the Hilltops region.

The Hilltops Choir draws singers from all over the Hilltops region and beyond.

It is under the musical direction of Murrumburrah local Stewart Bruce and Young based accompaniest Susan Rolfe.

David Powell grew up in Murrumburrah and learned his craft on the historic Dodd pipe organ in the church.

He will be weaving his magic on the fully restored instrument.

The concert will feature a variety of choral items and organ solos, with the choir singing songs from the musicals, negro spirituals, some African tunes and two inspiring songs from the animated movie Prince of Egypt.

There will also be a surprise artist, a local identity will be on the African drum.

Organist David Powell’s organ solos will be interspersed with the choral items.

As usual, following the concert there will be a delicious afternoon tea.

Concert goers are invited to mingle in a friendly gathering post-concert in the church hall.

The concert is set to kick off in the Ross Memorial Uniting Chuch at 2pm.

For further infomation on the concert, contact Stewart on 0423 090 912.
