Savour the Colours of Spring at the 2023 Orange Wine Festival
Get ready to savour the essence of the finest wines of the season as the 2023 Orange Wine Festival returns to the heart of the picturesque Orange region with a month-long program, from 29th September to 29th October.
This year’s highly anticipated event promises an extraordinary celebration of our regions cool-climate wine and wine culture, attracting connoisseurs, enthusiasts, and travellers from near and far.
This is the opportunity to immerse yourself in the enchanting allure of Orange, where lush vineyards meet rolling hills, and the art of winemaking comes alive. The 2023 Orange Wine Festival showcases the diverse array of vineyards, each boasting their own unique terroir and distinctive varietals. From seasoned wine aficionados to those discovering their palate, there’s something to delight every taste bud.
Tom Ward, President of the Orange Region Vigneron Association commented, “The Orange Wine Festival is our opportunity to showcase the incredible work that our local winemakers and vignerons are putting into their wines and the quality of the latest vintages are testament to that. 21-23’ are a continuation of cool vintages and with the work that has been put into the vineyard and winery we are going to see the benefits in the bottle. We continue to see the evolution of world class wines from the Orange wine region.”

Orange Wine Show Tasting: 14 October
An amazing option to taste from the line-up of all wines entered into the Orange Wine Show, including the trophy and medal winners - be your own wine judge for the night! Sample your choice of over 100 wines whilst grazing from generous platters of delicious local produce.
Food & Wine @ Altitude: 28 October
A walk through the Altitude of cool-climate wines of the Orange Region. What better place than Lake Canobolas to experience the wonders and learn the story of the role of ‘Altitude’ in grape growing and wine production. Be chauffeured from the centre of Orange to Lake Canobolas, before enjoying an afternoon strolling around the picturesque backdrop, stopping at wine and food stations along the way, culminating at the lakeside for music, more wine and food
Boree Lane Ramble: 7 October
A spring afternoon ramble through the vineyards on Boree Lane. Meet winemakers & vignerons, try wines matched to delicious local fare, enjoy the spring landscape. After meeting in Orange, the Ramble begins at Stockman’s Ridge and heads across country to the vineyards of Carillion, Strawhouse and Canobolas-Smith.
NRL Grand Final at Mortimers: 7 October Join this special event at the Schoolhouse Cellar Door with a five metre LED screen television, live music, raffles and NRL royalty in attendance. Allen “Robbo” Robinson of Footy Show fame will return to MC an All-Star player panel in the lead up to the big game. Mingle with some of the game’s biggest names and hear some of their untold stories. This is an all-inclusive afternoon includes bus transfers to and from town, a full buffet dinner and drink vouchers. There are limited tickets available to this event so don’t miss out!

Orange Wine Festival Night Market: 29 September
The Orange Wine Festival Night Market is not to be missed! Join our winemakers and vignerons as they showcase their award-winning cool climate wines from the Orange Wine Region. All paired with the finest cuisine prepared by our clever local chefs and cooks. Set in stunning Robertson Park, relax to the sound of local music with family and friends at long communal tables. Children’s catering and activities on site. Children under 16 free, Adults $10.
Wine and Cheese, Yes Please!: 12 + 26 October
Come to Highland Heritage Cellar Door and meet SJ, owner and cheese maker extraordinaire of Second Mouse Cheese Co. Sample her beautifully hand-crafted cheeses paired with Highland Heritages award winning wines while soaking up the panoramic vista. Bookings essential. $10pp.
Yoga in the Vines: 15 October Sunday doesn't get any better than this: Yoga and wine equals the perfect combination! Relaxing Yoga for everyone amongst the vines guided by Shell from Sankha Yoga followed by Brunch and Bubbles. Enjoy a glass of Sparkling and brunch after a relaxing session of Yoga by Shell from Sankha Yoga with our stunning vineyard as a backdrop. $35pp.
