A sneak peak of all the fun and activities going on at each school
Monteagle Public School
This year’s theme for Education Week was “Lifelong Learners”. Two activities were run, the first looking at the life cycle of humans and learning at different stages and the second was a STEM activity designing or building a set challenge. Since we are all lifelong learners, a positive attitude to learning is something we can develop and grow.
Maimuru Public School
Academics play an important role at MPS. Highly qualified teachers deliver individualised programs of learning in a warm, friendly and family-oriented environment. Strong student welfare and leadership programs operate within the school, including dedicated Peer Support lessons. Students participate in a range of academic, sporting and cultural activities including Maths Olympiad, ICAS assessments, debating and individual and class music lessons.
Murringo Public School
Last Friday was hot chocolate and beanie day. Students raised money for Ronald McDonald House in Wagga. RMH provides families with a place to stay close to the hospital for those travelling long distances from home. Families with children who are unwell or injured can stay close together, so children and families worry a bit less and take care of themselves while their child recovers.
Young North Public School
Young North Public School staff and students have enjoyed book week. Students visited the library during their library lesson and wrote out their wish lists to take home. Wednesday was our book week parade and there was an array of creative book week costumes! Everyone looked amazing and had a fabulous time. Students engaged in book week activities and fun throughout the week focusing on the theme ‘Old worlds, new worlds, other worlds’.
Boorowa Central School
National Pyjama Day raises funds for The Pyjama Foundation’s Love of Learning Program which is offered to children in foster care. Donations go towards providing children their very own special Pyjama Angel mentor who empowers them with learning, life skills and confidence to change the direction of their life. We raised $257.
Bribbaree Public School
Bribbaree Public School prides itself on creating a healthy eating environment for all students – focussing on kitchen skills and food preparation – at the end of Term 2 they celebrated by conducting a MasterChef competition. The teams were given the opportunity to go shopping for their ingredients and visit a catering shop to purchase some much-needed kitchen utensils while in Wagga focussing on time and budget.
