5 events were organised to help raise awareness and money for the Scleroderma Foundation.

Sammi Jansen organised the events as her mother Kim Lesslie, passed away from the disease on the 13th of May, 2021.

The events included barefoot bowls at the Ex-Services Club on the 24th of June, golf charity shield at the Recreation Club on the 25th of June, biggest morning tea at the Ex-Services Club on the 29th of June, the town clock memorial lit up in yellow for World Scleroderma Day on the 29th of June and a trivia and auction night on the 1st of July at the Ex-Services Club.

The Boorowa RSL Sub Branch showed their support for Sammi Jansen and her fundraising for Scleroderma Australia by lighting up the War Memorial on Marsden Street with beautiful yellow lights.

In relation to World Scleroderma Day, iconic landmarks Australia wide are being lit up. This is the second year that the Boorowa Sub Branch has supported Sammi in helping raise mindfulness for this non-government funded charity.

The extremely charitable Boorowa RSL Sub Branch made a donation to Sammi to fund the lunch that was at her Boorowa Bare Foot Bowls Day event.

“Sam’s mum Kim certainly would be proud in all of Sam’s efforts and the Boorowa Sub Branch are honoured we can help Sam,” said Belinda Hewitt.

Although the final financial figure is still being calculated, with how successful the events were, undoubtedly a large amount of money was raised.
