Concert number 2 on the Silo Sounds calendar is fast approaching.

The concert is on next Sunday, the 6th of April at 2pm in the Ross Memorial Uniting Church.

The special event concert is bringing stars of the stage Amelia Farrugia and pianist-presenter John Martin to Harden.

Amelia Farrugia is a celebrated soprano and has graced stages worldwide.

Her operatic debut with Opera Australia in 1994 marked the start of an extraordinary career, featuring lead roles such as the enchanting Manon in Massenet’s Manon, the vivacious title character in Lehár’s The Merry Widow, and the spirited Alice Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff.

She has performed in England, New York and Hong Kong and is the founder of Sydney Sings Pty Ltd.

John Martin is a distinguished pianist, composer, and music director celebrated for his sensitive and engaging performances across classical, theatre, and contemporary genres.

He has extensively toured Australia and China and worked with notable Australian and international artists.

Silo Sounds Chairperson Stewart Bruce said, “Harden Murrumburrah will be showered with a sparking array of delicate French art songs, devine Bach- Gounod ‘Ave Maria’, the much loved song ‘Vilja’, favourites from Lloyd Webber, soaring melodies from Morricone, Josh Grobin and so much more.”

“For lovers of piano solo, John promises at least one Chopin Impromptu. Truly a wonderful afternoon bringing these consummate artists from the stage to you!”

Tickets are $40 for an adult, $30 for a concession and children are free.
