It has become one of the most enjoyed events held during the National Cherry Festival - the Competitive Art Exhibition.
The official opening of the 41st annual event put on by the Young Society of Artists Inc, complete with presentation of prizes, will take place at Young Town Hall on Wednesday, November 27 at 7 pm.
Entry to the opening will cost $10 per person, with a light supper in the foyer and door prizes to be won. Judy Barker will provide some live music for the crowd.
Following the official opening, the exhibition will be on display for just four days - Thursday to Saturday from 9 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm.
Entry on those four days will be by gold coin donation. The Competitive Art Exhibition’s opening night has been included in the Southern Tablelands Arts (STA) “Arty Parties”.
Heather Ruhl said if you enjoy a fabulous silly season party STA has you covered.
“Southern Tablelands Arts have curated seven parties with seven partner organisations from across the STA region,” Ms Ruhl said. “This exhibition’s opening night has been included in the Southern Tablelands Arts “Arty Parties”.
