The Wild Women of Anywhere Beach, Cathy Welsford and Angie Smith will join the Galong End of Winter Celebration on Saturday, August 31 before they head out on their upcoming tour to South Australia and Western Australia.
These women are legends in the folk and festival world with their funny, poignant, uplifting shows choc-full of contemporary folk songs that deftly offer potent insights into a broad array of home-grown topics.
Wildlife preservation, relationships, feminism, neighbourhood blues, some of the joys of aging, rural life, heroism and standing up to tyrants are among the themes this duo expertly condense into three-minute nuggets with their talented musicianship and clever lyrics.
