Writing Group Plans For The Coming Year

Members of the Lambing Flat Young Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW Inc. met recently at the Young Services Club to plan their coming year.

There will be ten monthly meetings open to anyone interested in writing seeking a supportive, open and encouraging environment.

Each meeting will include an existing member briefly outline their writer’s journey followed by group appraisal of a piece of submitted writing.

Currently some members are in the process of having work published; writing a collection of short stories; researching for a work of fiction.

Two workshops are planned. On March 8, 2025, there will be an interactive Poetry Workshop with Barbara Granger and, currently in the process of confirmation, a September Workshop with well known Canberra author Andra Putnis.

Additionally, the National Writing Competition will return for its 43rd year.
