Young and District Multicultural Association Inc (YADMA) will be hosting its annual Harmony Gala Dinner on March 23 at Young Services Citizens Club at 6 pm.
YADMA President, Josie Johnson said the gala dinner was an opportunity to celebrate Australian multiculturalism, based on the successful integration of migrants into our community.
“It is an opportunity for all Australians to embrace cultural diversity and to share what we have in common,” Ms Johnson said.
“We would like to invite our community across the Hilltops Region to celebrate Harmony Week.”
Harmony Week activities will also form part of Hilltops Off the Beaten Track.
After his amazing performance last year, Brian Lorenz has been brought back by popular demand to entertain everyone in song.
Once again there will be cultural performances, including the stunning Nepalese Dancers.
Talented VietBambooz musician Minh Ha Patmore will entertain us on her traditional Vietnamese folk instruments.
Local songbird Julie O’Connor will also perform for everyone on the night.
RSVP to the three-course dinner, with complimentary drink upon arrival, has been extended to Friday, March 13.
The dress code for the night is multicultural outfit or semi-formal to formal attire.
There will be prizes for best dressed lady and gentleman in cultural and raffle draws throughout the night.
Tickets cost $75 per person and include membership. They can be booked at Young Services & Citizens Club or online through Humanitex.
