Young Camera Club Announces Competition Winners To End The Year

With around 300 photos on display, the Young Camera Club’s 25th annual Cherry Festival Photographic Exhibition ran from November 26 to December 3.
Deputy Mayor, Alison Foreman officiated as the guest speaker and presenter for the grand opening.
The Will Sibley Champion Print was won by Tammy McGaw.
Emily Douglas won the Helen Berridge Junior Champion Print Award and Quade Penfold was awarded the John van Rijswijk Junior Encouragement Award.
The People’s Choice Award went to Steve White for his photo, Submerge. Young Camera Club would like to congratulate everyone who entered the competition and to thank the judge, Stephen Jarvis.
A special display of some of the past Will Sibley Champion Prints was included with the exhibition.
The Club also thanked their generous sponsors, for their support this year and over the past 25 exhibitions without which these events wouldn’t be possible.
Raffle prizes went to:
- First - John Wilson;
- Second - Susie McDonell; and
- Third - Jean Faulkes.
The Club’s monthly competition winners for December were:
Subject (Water): First and second - Jenny Ball, Highly Commended and Commended - Lyn Keating.
Open: First and second - Jenny Ball, Highly Commended and Commended - Lyn Keating.
