Young Hospital Auxiliary will hold a luncheon on Sunday, June 16 at the Young Golf Club to raise awareness of melanoma.
Annette St Clair, the 2024 Wagga Citizen of the Year has been organised as the guest speaker for the special luncheon.
Ms St Clair is the person responsible for establishing the Annie St Clair Melanoma Trust in memory of her young daughte who lost her battle with the disease.
The Trust raises awareness of melanoma and Ms St Clair dedicates her time to organising many community initiatives including skin checks and “living well with cancer” workshops.
President of the Young Hospital Auxiliary has invited the community to attend the luncheon to hear this dedicated and heart-warming journey in memory of a young life lost to this disease.
The luncheon will be held at 12 noon for a 12:30 pm start at the Young Golf Club.
Tickets can be made and paid for at the Young Services Club by Friday, June 7 or by phoning 6382 1944.
They cost $40 per person and include a delicious two-course meal.
People are urged to bring along a little cash to grab a last minute raffle ticket or two on the day.
There will be no EFTpos facilities on the day.
The Axiliary will draw its winter raffle at the luncheon.
The Young Hospital Auxiliary continues to raise funds to purchase equipment for the hospital.
