While the Young Hospital Auxiliary will host its third high tea in April, that is not the only event on the agenda for the year.

The group’s first meeting for 2023 was very busy and resulted in some exciting plans, including the high tea on Saturday, April 1.

No April Fool’s joke, the high tea has become very popular so the Auxiliary decided to hold it again this year, with the doors of St John’s Anglican Hall opening at 2pm. Numbers are limited to just 120 people so table bookings are essential.

Contact Janice at 6382 6770 or Lyn at 0422 604 132. It costs $20 to attend and you can pay at the door.

A delicious array of treats will be served and raffle tickets sold. Three fabulous voucher prizes will be drawn that afternoon with all proceeds going to purchase equipment for Young Hospital.

President, Janice Ward said they intended to host another Open Gardens event following the success of last year’s event. “Following our very enjoyable Open Gardens last year, we will be holding another Open Gardens Day in late October (probably the 21st, date to be confirmed),” Mrs Ward said.

“We are looking for an extra garden or two, so if you would like to consider including your garden please let us know. We will have plant stalls then so we will not be holding our plant stall on the main street in May.”

“We’re also planning a morning tea with a guest speaker on Thursday, June 22. We really appreciate the support we receive from the community, enjoy organising events and especially love donating useful equipment to the hospital.”

“Don’t forget, new members are always welcome.”
