SUMMER LEAGUE COMES TO AN END

There are so many new and exciting competitions in Bowls these days that it’s hard to keep up with them. One of the new competitions was called Summer League. This Triples game was played between District Clubs, Young, Harden, Grenfell and Boorowa. Played when the worst of the heat is gone from 6 til 9pm at the four clubs in turn. There is one more game to be played but the winners of this year’s competition are Elsie Hines, Ann Gardner and Jenny Holt, who will now go to the State Final in Sydney on 2 & 3 March 2019.

CLUB PATRON

Our thoughts go to Sheila Rogerson who is not in the best of health. Sheila is our Club Patron and has long been a valued member of Young Women’s Bowling Club.

PRESENTATION NIGHT

Because of the 37-degree heat, the game of bowls scheduled for Sunday afternoon was cancelled, but that didn’t stop a keen group of men and women, members of the Young Bowling Club, from attending the end of year celebration of the year’s events and competitions. A lovely dinner, trophies and photos and everyone relaxed for a few drinks with friends.
