There has been lots of Championship bowls played over the last week. On Wednesday and Thursday the Regional play-offs for the Senior and State Triples were played at the Wagga Rules Club.
The team of Elsie Hines, Heather Bailey and Margaret Gailey from Young, and representing the South West District, had to play a team from Southern Slopes (West Wyalong) and a team from the Central Riverina (Leeton).
In the first game Young drew with West Wyalong 18 all and later Leeton defeated West Wyalong. In the final game South West District defeated Central Riverina 25-10. This meant the team from Young are the Champions and now go on to the State Finals to be played in Dubbo next March. Congratulations ladies.
