RUOK? Day 2021

Hilltops Youth Action Group are distributing care packs through the LGA.

The Hilltops Youth Action Group are distributing 250 ‘Care Packs’ throughout the region next week on the days leading up to RUOK? Day on Thursday, September 9.

The group is appealing for nominations, especially from frontline workers, of those aged 12 to 25 who could benefit from a pack.

They include: conversation starters from RUOK?, contact information for those experiencing tough times, a QPR card for free online training so you can gain the knowledge and experience to identify the warning signs that someone may be feeling suicidal as well as goodies donated from local businesses.

The group will be handling contactless delivery of the packs in Young on Monday and Tuesday, in Harden on Wednesday and Boorowa on Thursday.

Packs can be arranged to be sent to people outside these areas.

There are limited packs available. The group encourages people to get in touch individually or with a nomination by sending a private message to Hilltops Youth Action Group on Facebook [link to https://www.facebook.com/Hilltops-Youth-Action-Group-100258242035357] with a name and address.

RUOK? Day is recognised Australia-wide to empower and inspire connection. Starting a conversation could save a life.

Life in COVID-19 lockdown is adding to the stress of life’s ups and downs. It’s the perfect time to check in with your mates, colleagues, neighbours and family.

Visit ruok.org.au to download a free conversation guide.

RUOK? has developed other free resources to help encourage schools, workplaces and communities to think about who in their world might need to be asked how they’re really going and how to make a moment meaningful by asking, “are you OK?”
