Zac’s Place Op Shop Is Moving

Zac’s Place Op Shop will be settling into new premises just before Christmas.

Ros Stewart said they had been in the current premises for almost six months.

“We’ve outgrown it because we’ve been so well supported by the community,” Ros said. “One of the great things about the new venue is that we will be able to have furniture on site; we won’t have to just have photos of what is available. We are deliberately very affordable.”

“We don’t have clothes, because there are two other op shops that do that, but we have everything else. Everything for the bathroom, kitchen, garage, outdoors, furniture, everything - books, gifts. All the money goes to support Zac’s Place - so it’s local people helping local people.”

Zac’s Place also helps people experiencing homelessness. They are hoping that they’ll be able to hire someone soon in order to give extra help.

Ms Stewart asked the generous community to hold off on making their donations until after Christmas, so they could settle into their new premises.

Zac’s Place is also holding a raffle, with a wonderful prize on offer. Tickets are just $2 each or three for $5 and available from the Op Shop or the gym, with the winner drawn on December 18.
